Within South Africa crime has become apart of our lives, and affects all areas of our lives. The trauma experienced by the victim impacts negatively on all areas of their life, including their performance at work. When appropriate support is not given to the traumatized victim at work, it not only impact negatively on their work, but on the work of their co-workers as well. This is why it is of the utmost importance for executives, managers and supervisors to understand how to deal with staff who have experienced any kind of trauma.

HANDLING TRAUMA IN THE WORKPLACE

This workshop was designed to help identify the warning signs of trauma in one’s staff, which may have occurred inside or outside the workplace, but is also recommended for other staff, as the knowledge gained will help them provide appropriate support for their co-workers within the workplace. The knowledge is also useful outside the workplace.

OTHER WORKSHOPS:

STRESS MANAGEMENT

This workshop teaches one how to deal with work related stress. Stress response can often be an asset to increase performance during critical events. However if stress becomes persistent and low-level, all parts of the body’s stress apparatus (the brain, heart, lungs, vessels and muscles) become chronically under or over activated. Over time this may create physical or psychological damage. Chronicle stress has a direct impact on a persons work performance.

CUSTOMER CARE

This workshop teaches internal customer relations. The principle here is “My Colleague is my Customer”. Participants learn about customer care & how to apply this to work relationships. If customer care is of high quality within an organisation it will be of high quality to external customers. This is important as it is the responsibility of everyone within an organisation to give quality customer care.
